McNeese State University, founded within 1939, is a university located in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Originally known as Flow of any stream Charles Junior College, a title became John McNeese Junior College inside 1940; the school was a portion of the Louisiana State University models. Around 1950, a school parted from either the LSU rules & became McNeese State College; within 1970, the institution gained university status. McNeese State's colors come blue and gold and their nickname is the Cowboys. McNeese State sports teams participate around NCAA Section We (I personally-AA for football) in the Southland Conference.
